Clarke B. Futch Managing Partner

Clarke B. Futch is a co-founder, Managing Partner and Chairman of the Investment Committee at HCR. Mr. Futch is responsible for all of HCR’s investment activities, sets the strategic direction of the Firm and remains actively involved in investing.  Since 2001, he has led/co-led more than 50 royalty and related debt financings representing more than $3 billion of invested capital. Over the course of his career, Mr. Futch has raised over $5 billion across eight investment vehicles and executed more than 100 transactions including royalty, equity, debt and M&A deals. Before co-founding HCR, Mr. Futch served as a partner at Paul Capital Partners where he co-managed the firm’s royalty investments as a member of the royalty management committee. He previously served as a founding member of the healthcare group at Thomas Weisel Partners (now Stifel), and as a vice president at Raymond James. Mr. Futch was previously named one of the future leaders in biotech finance by BioWorld, a leading industry publication. He holds a B.A., magna cum laude, from Vanderbilt University and a J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law.
